Overall, I just think that the hotel was way overpriced. I paid nearly $500 for my room that I believe should’ve cost around 150. I understand that location, location location however the cost did not justify the establishment. Although there is nothing really wrong with it, it was just all super rundown, and I should’ve expected it being a historic inn. The food at the restaurant was OK. The guy at the front desk was OK. I just came from San Francisco Haver and stayed in five star places that were $500 as well and it was a completely different experience. I wasn’t expecting that being in the redwoods, however, it just really felt overpriced. They did leave whiskey in the room for whatever that’s worth.

Beautiful 1926 hotel all dressed up for Christmas. Ate dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed seeing the wood burning fire in the fireplace. Chef recommended his shrimp which we liked but I had the ravioli which wasn’t that great. Odd flavors.

Do you want to feel like a classic Hollywood star from the 1930's? Say less, this is your place. Feel free to walk in ask fancy or dressed down for the incognito appearance. This place is that good. First you'll be awed by the architecture and meticulously kept grounds. Next you'll be awed by the decor and service. Just wait till you sit down for dinner... you'll want to stay forever! This place has so much unique charm it then just oozes out of you too. This is a wonderful venue fir events as well if you're going for that super classy romantic feel.

This was an amazing hotel, and I will definitely be coming back. The lounge had an amazing ambience, And have a cozy wood bring a fireplace. I went here during Christmas so they had all of the decorations and the music up and it was an amazing vibe. The rooms were cozy and warm. Has access to the river, which can be really fun in the summertime. The one thing I didn’t like was that the restaurant was un impressive and overpriced, And I would recommend you dining somewhere else during your stay. Also, do you have the Clara suite I recommend you take a bath because the shower does not have a curtain or door so water gets sprayed everywhere in the bathroom, I guess it’s supposed to be ADA accessible, But it Was just insane. Still 5 out of 5 for me

We had a remarkable experience at the Benbow Inn. It’s a charming Tudor-esque early 20th century building nestled amongst the trees. The rooms are charming and comfortable outfitted with unique antiques. The grounds are lush with plenty of shady spots to rest. The restaurant was solid. The whole place as a charming character of days long gone. While it does have Stephen King type feel, it’s definitely not haunted. I would most certainly stay there again.

We stay here multiple times during the year but we especially enjoy spending Xmas at the Benbow. The decorations and food are wonderful and holiday oriented! It is pet friendly and our dog loves the elevator! The staff is especially friendly and always remembers us.

I pulled in for a night on a Sunday on my way north. It is the sort of establishment that makes you feel you are somewhere above the normal. In the morning I walked the grounds and had a perfect breakfast before heading off. Just casual cool and nice. Bonus: real windows that open and let you sleep without bloody AC!

I’ve gone here for years but this one salad I ordered really was incredible! It was the baby green salad and I think it is the best thing on that menu! Lovely greens and the sherry vinaigrette with thinly sliced manchego cheese on top has me purely speechless. Will order that again. I also love the elegance of the lobby and dining area!
